1. WHAT IS PYTHON?

Python is a high-level, general-purpose programming language used to develop websites, software applications, automation tools, AI applications, and data analysis systems.

Python is beginner-friendly because its syntax is easy to read and understand.

Example:

print("Hello World")

Output:
Hello World

==================================================
2. WHY DO WE USE PYTHON?
==================================================

Python is used for:

1. Web Development – Building websites using Django and Flask.
2. Automation – Automating repetitive tasks.
3. Artificial Intelligence – Developing AI applications and chatbots.
4. Data Analysis – Analyzing business data and reports.
5. Software Development – Building desktop and business applications.
6. Machine Learning – Creating prediction models.
7. Game Development – Developing simple games.

Real-Time Example:

A business can use Python to automate invoice generation, calculate bills, maintain customer records, and generate sales reports.

==================================================
3. FEATURES OF PYTHON
==================================================

1. Easy to learn and understand.
2. High-level programming language.
3. Interpreted language.
4. Cross-platform support.
5. Large collection of libraries.
6. Supports object-oriented programming.
7. Useful for AI and automation.
8. Free and open-source.

==================================================
4. HOW DOES PYTHON WORK?
==================================================

Step 1: Write Python code.
Step 2: The Python runtime processes the program.
Step 3: The program executes its instructions.
Step 4: The result is displayed or another action is performed.

Example:

print("Welcome to Python")

Output:
Welcome to Python

Note: CPython generally compiles Python source code into bytecode before executing it using its virtual machine.

==================================================
5. INSTALLING PYTHON
==================================================

Step 1: Download Python from:
Download Python

Step 2: Install Python on your computer.

Step 3: On Windows, select "Add Python to PATH" during installation if available.

Step 4: Open Command Prompt.

Step 5: Check the Python version:

python --version

If the above command does not work on Windows, try:

py --version

You can write Python programs using IDLE, Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, or another compatible editor.

Visual Studio Code:

6. YOUR FIRST PYTHON PROGRAM
==================================================

WHAT IS print()?

The print() function displays information on the screen.

SYNTAX:

print(value)

EXAMPLE:

print("Hello World")

OUTPUT:

Hello World

EXPLANATION:

print() is a built-in Python function.
Text is enclosed in quotation marks.
The output is displayed on the screen.

==================================================
7. DISPLAY MULTIPLE MESSAGES
==================================================

Example:

print("Welcome to Python")
print("I am learning programming")
print("Python is easy to learn")

Output:

Welcome to Python
I am learning programming
Python is easy to learn

Each print() statement normally displays its output on a new line.

==================================================
8. REAL-TIME EXAMPLE: BUSINESS WELCOME MESSAGE
==================================================

Suppose a company wants to display its business information.

PROGRAM:

print("==============================")
print("Welcome to ParamWebInfo")
print("==============================")
print("Service: Website Development")
print("Service: Digital Marketing")
print("Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh")
print("Thank you for choosing us!")

OUTPUT:

==============================
Welcome to ParamWebInfo
==============================
Service: Website Development
Service: Digital Marketing
Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh
Thank you for choosing us!

REAL-TIME APPLICATIONS:

This concept can be used in billing software, customer registration systems, student management applications, and business reports.

==================================================
9. COMMENTS IN PYTHON
==================================================

WHAT IS A COMMENT?

A comment explains the code to the programmer. Python ignores comments during normal execution.

SYNTAX:

# This is a comment

EXAMPLE:

# Display company name
print("ParamWebInfo")

# Display company location
print("Raipur")

OUTPUT:

ParamWebInfo
Raipur

Comments make programs easier to understand and maintain.

==================================================
10. IMPORTANT PYTHON RULES
==================================================

1. Python is case-sensitive.
2. Use correct spelling for function names.
3. Use quotation marks for text.
4. Use proper indentation when writing code blocks.
5. A colon (:) is required after statements such as if, for, while, and def.
6. Use # for single-line comments.
7. Save Python program files with the .py extension.

Example:

print("Hello World")  # Correct

Print("Hello World")  # Incorrect: Print is not print

==================================================
11. PRACTICE PROGRAMS
==================================================

PROGRAM 1: PRINT YOUR NAME

print("My name is Rahul")

Output:

My name is Rahul

Task: Replace Rahul with your name.

------------------------------------------

PROGRAM 2: DISPLAY THREE MESSAGES

print("I am learning Python")
print("Python is beginner-friendly")
print("I will practise every day")

------------------------------------------

PROGRAM 3: DISPLAY BUSINESS DETAILS

print("Business: My Company")
print("Service: Web Development")
print("City: Raipur")

Task: Replace the sample details with your own business details.

------------------------------------------

PROGRAM 4: USE COMMENTS

# My first Python program
print("Hello World")

------------------------------------------

PROGRAM 5: CREATE A WELCOME SCREEN

print("==============================")
print("WELCOME TO MY APPLICATION")
print("==============================")
print("1. Student Registration")
print("2. View Student Details")
print("3. Exit")

Task: Create a similar welcome screen for a billing application.
